A dupe, or a duplicate, is an icon cut from the same photo, not from the same photo shoot.
Keep in mind, a dupe is NOT a dupe, UNTIL it is personalized and used.
Which means, a blank posted at either an auction or on the discussion board is
NOT a dupe, until it is personalized and USED by a member in chat or on the
discussion board.

Another member said my icon is a dupe and I have to delete it, is that true?
No, an icon is not officially a dupe until it is reported to Graphics and it's investigated and determined to be a dupe by the Graphics Department.
How do I let The Pork know about a dupe?
All you have to do is send an email to dupecheckers@the-pork.com or graphics@the-pork.com. In the email you should include the following to help us identify the duplicate:
If the other chatter had it first, your icon will be considered as the duplicate and taken off line. The icon will remain in your account until you actually delete it.
How long will it take to find out if my dupe issue has been resolved?
That really depends on several things;
An email response will be sent to the member who notified Graphics of the duplicate, and a page will be sent to the member whose icon was taken off line.
What if the member whose icon was taken off line reloads it, what should I do?
If you see the icon back on line, you should notify graphics@the-pork.com. and we will take care of it as soon as possible, by taking it off line again.
What if the member keeps reloading the icon and I keep bringing it to Graphics attention?
If this happens, the member may lose their icon privileges for a period of time.
Why can't I call dupe at Graphics Auctions?
There are a couple of reasons: 1) A dupe is NOT a dupe until it is personalized and used, as noted above in "What is a dupe?", and 2) it's disruptive to the flow of the auction.
I don't understand the whole icon coding thing … just what are the rules?
Icon coding is probably one of the most difficult jobs the Iconeers do. The general rules are as follows:
If you don't understand why your icon was coded the way it was, just send an email to graphics@the-pork.com with a copy of the icon in the email and it will be looked into. Many times, we can explain why it was coded the way it was, however, there are times errors are made, and we are more than happy to correct a mistake in coding.
Don't reload the icon, because more often than not, you will receive the same rating.
Who exactly does the icon coding, and how does that work?
Icons are coded by the Iconeers daily. We code anywhere from 10 to hundreds in a day. Each Iconeer codes as part of their daily schedule of "Pork - Things To Do". All icons and pic posts uploaded pass through the coding process. There are times when an Iconeer is not sure of how to rate an icon, and we now have a "skip icon" option built in. This enables us to pass it by and have another coder take a look for their opinion. After all the Iconeers have looked at the icon, it is decided how to rate it and the reasons why it should be at a certain rating.
Please remember that mistakes can and will happen, however, we are an email or page away with any questions or concerns you may have.
What exactly can the Iconeers "see" in our accounts?
Iconeers do not have access to anyone's account, they see icons only - nothing else.
What is a Graphics Icon Auction?
This is a Pork sponsored event where icon blanks are bid on by members for personalization. For specific rules, please visit Graphics Icon Auction Rules.
Auctions are every two weeks on a Saturday evening at 8:00 PM Pork time.
Anyone who wants to auction their blanks, should be in the Graphics room fifteen minutes before the auction begins.
How long will it take for me to receive my completed order?
Official iconeers have up to two weeks to complete an order. Please keep in mind that there may be times it takes longer due to real time issues. If you think it has been exceptionally long, please contact the iconeer directly by email or pager. In the event the issue is not resolved, you can always contact the Graphics Director at Graphics.
What is the Meet the Artist series?
Every couple of months someone who creates icons is chosen for this series. A questionnaire is sent to them to complete and return with a dozen teen safe icons they have created.
I would like to volunteer for Graphics, how can I do that?
Send an email to Graphics and you will be contacted. Also, please go to Porkicons and navigate to Applying for Iconeer to see the images you will be required to complete. You will have to load your completed work to a web page. The reason for that is because it will be necessary for an iconeer to be able to build and maintain their own website on Porkicons.
I would like to freelance, how can I do that? What are the requirements? Send an email to Graphics and you will be contacted. The only requirements to freelance are that your pages are set up to keep adult icons separate from teen safe, and you have a link back to The Pork. We also require that you stay within the basic rules of icon creating, such as no teen porn.
Orders are limited to 5 per order in a two week period. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
