1. Tell us a little about yourself?
I am married and have 3 sons. I am a retired Union Printer. I worked in job shops and also weekly and Daily Newspaper. I am a veteran served in the USAF for 4 years and was an Aircraft Mechanic.

2. Why/how did you get started in making icons?
I used PhotoShop at work and really liked the program. I saw people using icons and tried my hand at it. I was then asked if I wanted to become an icon and I accepted it. That was a few years ago.

3. How long have you been making icons?
Wow like forever....at least 8 years...*S*

4. What program (s) do you use?
I use PhotoShop, Ulead 4 and 5, PSP Animator 3, Ulead Photo Impact 10 and Flaming Pear.

5. Do you use filters and tubes? Any favorites?
I only use filters and have a lot of them...no favorite one.

6. Do you prefer working with images that are already cut down to size that the person wants or working with the original image?
I prefer to crop the image...but I will go either way.

7. Do you like changing backgrounds? Do you prefer to make your own or use backgrounds from the net?
I change backgrounds quite often especially if the background is white... I get the backgrounds from the net.

8. What kind of images do you prefer to work with?
I like to work with water images because I find it easy. *chuckles* But I really like to work with just about any image.

9. What do you do when you just can’t seem to get inspired with a specific icon?
Just step away for awhile and do other icons. Usually it works out when I come back to it.

10. What are your feelings about animation?
I like to animate water, snow, rain and hammocks. I like the challenge.

11. Do you have a particular look in icons that you, yourself go for?
I like icons that are well thought out in design. It doesn't have to be animated. A nice typeface and how it is used.

12. Do you use a signature on your work?
No I have never used a signature.

13. Your biggest pet peeve about icons?
I would say when an icon is stretched or cropped poorly.

14. When you receive an order, do you prefer specific instructions or would you rather just go with how the image makes you feel?
Well the only instructions I need is the name and if they want animation. I use my judgment in changing the background to make the icon better.

15. Are there any colors you like or dislike working with?
No I don't have any trouble with any colors. Some I like better.

16. Are there any images you prefer not to work with?
I don't like to work with washout images or images that aren't sharp even when you try to sharpen them.

17. Do you find all your own images for your pages?
I have a very close friend that helped me on images...I want to thank her ... it is well appreciated.

18. Do you like a challenge in icon making?
Yes that is why I can do animation. Some of them are a real challenge.

19. If there was only one font you could use, what would it be? How many fonts do you have?
II like Taggettes because most of my icons are for women. I have 454 fonts.
